Who's this Mel guy anyway?
Well, no... it's not Mel Cooley from the old Dick Van Dyke show. It's the Michigan Electronic Library. It's brought to you by the Library of Michigan in partnership with Michigan's libraries, and provides all Michigan residents with free access to resources that are beyond the ability of your local library to provide. All via the Internet.
- Online Full-Text Articles
- Full-Text Books
- Digital Images
- Interlibrary Loan System (books, audio books, tapes)
- Resources for Edcucators
- Historical Records, Data and Photographs (a.k.a. Geneaolgy)
And a whole lot more! We could go one and on, but it's easier if you just check it out for yourself. Visit MEL today.

Death & Taxes...
While not popular topics with many, myself included, you would be surprised how many inquiries we get. Might as well get to familiar with what you can't avoid. Check out our Genealogy Section, and find all the tax information and forms links on our Research Page. |

Genealogy...
It's always a good time to check up on the relatives, even the ones long gone. We offer the largest collection of genealogical research material in Sanilac County, and receive over 2,000 genealogical and local history requests every year. |

|
If you have a question about what the library offers, check out our new Genealogy Resources Brochure (Adobe Reader Required), and our Genealogy Webpage. |
